Half Way There...

We received a satellite phone call from Ralph, and as of 12:30 in the afternoon, they were half way to Bermuda. Sounding pretty exhausted on the phone Ralph still maintained an amazing attitude. He said all things were going pretty well. A few hours after the half way point, Ralph acknowledged that they had used half of their fuel, more than was expected. He is still pretty sure that they will have enough. Now that they have burned half of the fuel, they also have burned half of the weight, approximately 1,000 pounds. He says that now they are able to travel a little faster, and are becoming more fuel efficient. Although it seems that they are not making as good a time as planned, he hopes to pick up the pace a little bit. The seas were currently at 4 to 5 feet, but much of the day they were experiencing 5 to 6 foot chop. he says it's very choppy. Because it's so rough, cooking food really hasn't been an option, but he says their ok. They have been snacking a lot. At night they take little naps on 2 hour shifts. He says that everything is wet, so they pretty much wrap up in some rain gear and try to get a little rest. They lost some of their video feed and equipment, and are catching lots of squid, neither one also something they were not planning on. It seems that the squid just keep coming into the boat, and they keep throwing them back out. The best news, the boat is running very well. Soon we will have a video up and running at http://www.dreamboats.net/, so check it out. Also, tomorrow there will be a press release sent out all over the United States. We'll give you this link soon, when we know it's up and running. One more thing, we are expecting news channel 8 to do a story probably tomorrow (May 2nd) so make sure you watch the 6:00 news or evening news, were not sure which one yet. Thanks for all of your support, they'll be there soon...
